Gang Light

Can anyone tell me the point of of a 3 Gang 2 Way light switch?

I've bought a 3 Gang light switch as I currently have 2 gang controlling 3 lights (Kitchen/DiningRoom/Out House), but on wiring it up it only lights up 2 of the 3, and the more I check the net it seems that they only can control 2 lights. Can somebody help, as I'm in the dark here!

A 3 Gang Switch will control three different loads. In a bathroom we use them to control the light, the fan, and the heat lamp. It will control your 3 fixtures but you must have a separate wire going to each fixture from the switch.
