Will this burglar come back?
Last week, a burglar broke into my apartment thinking no one was home. His break in woke me up and I thought it was the apartment maintenence so I went to go see what was going on and I see a burglar trying to leave my front door holding my flat screen. I completely caught him off guard and he ended up setting the tv down and running away. I ended up calling the police and they also did fingerprinting. What are the chances that this burglar or his 'clan' could come back? It really has me nervous and paranoid. Seeing him with my tv was really traumatizing.
Since then I have been leaving the living room lights on, I put a lock cord around the base of my tv that connects to the entertainment center, and I bought black curtains to put over my already blinded windows.
What do you think is the probability this burglar will come back???
Hello Cristeen. Burglars, by their very nature, do not want confrontation. They want to break in, steal and leave. The fact you caught this one in the act will more than likely scare him away from the entire area. He will know the police will be looking for someone fitting his general description you gave. It sounds like you took some very good steps for yourself in protecting your home, but I seriously doubt this person will come back.
