Does code require sand above and below outdoor conduit at a residence? How deep?
I'm running several hundred feet of 1" conduit for outdoor 20amp power outlets and to power a shed and carport. Does the IBC require a bed of sand, since this is not main utility power?
NO, just has to buried to the minimum debth, here 24 inches is standard debth but there are a few things, like 20 amps or less, and wires gfci protected that allow you not to have to be as deep..
