Why do I frequently dream of filthy toilets?
I have a recurring dream that I have to pee and I go to the ladies' room, and every toilet is filthy. One has no toilet paper, another hasn't been flushed, another has a door that's broken, etc. Every single toilet is dirty or unusable in some way. Other times I dream that none of the toilet stalls have doors, so that everyone will see me pee, and then sometimes there will be men in the ladies' room watching me pee! And other times the toilets don't flush at all; they're just outhouse-like pits in the ground like they had at summer camp. But for whatever reason, I can't or don't want to use the toilets. What could this dream mean?
Is it because I really have to pee, but I can't because I'm still asleep? Usually, when I have this dream, I wake up and find that I really do need to use the toilet.
