Pros and Cons of the Bates Cair panel system?
I am considering 2 Bates saddles. 1 Has the standard panel and the other has the Cair panels. I have heard that the Cair system was a unique invention that really just didn't work in the long run. Does anyone have some personal experience they can share on this? Thanks

If you look under english saddle (pick any category, close contact, all purpose, dressage) and there are tons of reviews of Bates saddles. Most have some opinion of the Cair system.
One that I read cautioned against using the Cair system saddles in high altitude. Hers expanded and became unusable.
