Is it proper to use a Wallpaper Border around the ceiling edge AND as a chair rail?
A friend of mine put up a 6 inch border around the top of her room and then used the same border as a chair rail effect. When you walk in the room all you notice is her rooster border. In my opinion I feel it should be on one or the other, not both. It totally took away from the whole look of the room. This answer is going to be used to settle a debate. This is a dinning room w/ a country theme of roosters.
If you want her to stay your friend, just back off trying to convince her how right you are. She likes it how she likes it (or at least that's her story, and she's sticking to it!). Sometimes you have to accept things or risk losing the friendship.
