lime wire problem, compressed (zipped) folders?
ok, here is a good one, get ready, ok so like a bunch of people, i download tons of music and videos from limewire, and yesterday, i was trying to download an application for madden 08', but the file came in a compressed (zipped) folder, and i don't know how this happen, that every single file in my limewire folder got compress, every song i had, and every video, except for the pictures, pictures did not get compress. Now, how in the world do i de-compress these files so i can play them again? or change the format to wo a windows media player format?
If you really did zip all the files, you will need something to unzip them, winzip 7-zip or picozip should all work.
It is also possable that you compressed the files on your hard drive to same disk space. This is not the same as zipping them. If this is the problem, you just have to right-click on the folder and pick properties. On the general tab click the advanced button. In the pop-up there is a check box that says compress contents to sapve disk space, un check the box.
Hope one of these options will work for you, but in the future you should keep the files your downloading from limewire in a different folder than your personal files, a different disk would be best.
